WHY DOES THIS INITIATIVE EXIST?
Pastor,
Welcome to this sacred space developed just for you because you are important to us and to the Lord.
Your health is extremely important – your whole health: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual. God has called us to serve His people and your community as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our bodies and minds are vital instruments in this service. Most of us understand that the spiritual formation of the pastor is paramount. We understand the need to care for our physical bodies. Also, of importance is the need to care for our mental health. Mind, body, and soul. This is how God created us.
The Wholistic Wellness Initiative has been developed to provide support to you pastor, and to your spouse. This support to our Canada Central District Clergy is in the form of providing you and your spouse with the opportunity to access resources to proactively care for your mental health, as well as therapeutic supports over and beyond what your health benefit package includes.
We understand that you are part of a team that is made up of a church board and congregation. For this reason, our goal includes providing church boards and congregations, with training and workshops that will enhance relations and functionality between the church and clergy.
Pastor, you are in Pat and my prayers daily. We love and appreciate you and are here to support and encourage you as you serve the Lord and His people. We are in this ministry together.
